WHO WE ARE
The Willing Witness is about the Gospel, the Good News. We will use service and Spirit-led communication to help others understand exactly what the Gospel is all about. God gave life to The Willing Witness on September 16, 2011 to be established as a nonprofit ministry It was created by God, founded by His Son and under the direction of the Holy Spirit. We seek to serve others in various ways in hopes to share God’s word.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” – John 14:6
- We Believe that Jesus Christ alone is the only way that man can be reconciled to God.
- God is Creator we believe that God exists in three persons. A triune God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- The Holy Bible is flawless, inerrant and the truth.
- Jesus is the Son of God born of a virgin. Lived a sin free life. Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again on the third day.
- The Holy Spirit indwells all who accept Jesus as the Son of God.
- Mankind is created in the image of God but had disobeyed God’s commands and is born and lives in a state of sin. Man’s sin separates him from God.
- Salvation is a gift from God. To receive the free gift, you have to believe in the commitment that Jesus Christ made to save you and once you place your faith in Jesus Christ and profess Him as the Son of God you are reconciled back to God. “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” – Romans 10:9
- Jesus will return He ascended into heaven and will visibly return for those who believe.
READY TO GO
We are committed to the Great Commission where Jesus tells us to GO. So we seek to be obedient and to be used by God. Matthew 28:19 – “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit
We will go wherever God calls us to further His kingdom. Paul says it best in 1 Corinthians 9:19-22 For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win the more; and to the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might win Jews; to those who are under the law, as under the law, that I might win those who are under the law; to those who are without law, as without law (not being without law toward God, but under law toward Christ), that I might win those who are without law; to the weak I became as weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all men that I might by all means save some.
READY TO TELL
We are ready to share the love of Christ, to encourage and counsel. We want to tell our story of how we experienced God. We strive to be ready in season and out of season as described in 2 Timothy 4:1-5
2 Timothy 4:5 But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. I assure you, you can do the work of the evangelist. There are three things needed and if you are a born again believer in Christ you posses them.
- God’s Word
- The Holy Spirit
- You the willing witness
So who is a willing witness? It’s you!! We are here to help you be a witness for Christ by teaching you how to relate to others and share God’s word. We will connect you to Christ-based agencies, churches and events where you can share the Gospel. Get involved, check our calendar.
Dwayne Pipkins, Founder
A born again believer since September 17, 1995. A servant of the one and only living God. Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior and has saved my life and redeemed me. Once I gained that understanding I became determined to serve Him. I love singing in the choir, though I cannot sing. God blessed me to teach others. I have served as deacon, Sunday school teacher and men’s ministry teacher. I love communicating God’s word and helping others understand. God has blessed me to be a creative and interactive teacher that helps bring application of God’s word. I love the Gospel and sharing it. I am happily married and love my wife who is my best friend. We love serving and ministering together. My favorite scripture is Romans 5:8 and it’s one of those verses that put me into action. I love God so much that I am willing and determined to communicate the Gospel wherever he leads. It’s my mission to serve God and help others know His incredible love, grace and mercy. God showed me that there are many others that are willing to share His wonderful gift. So September 16, 2011 He gave life to The Willing Witness. That’s you! So if you are willing let’s go. I am delighted to serve in this capacity to coordinate events and mission to share God’s love. (0218)

Leroy Petteway – Logistics Advisor
Leroy is a Mechanical Engineer and resides in Lewisville. He is married to Traci and has two kids Kendall and Kennedi. I gave my life to Christ at the age of 5 years old. I can’t remember a time when I was not in church. I believe primarily because of the influence of my grandfather, who was a pastor of a small church in Galveston. After finishing college, God Blessed me with a job in Lewisville, Texas. Shortly after moving to Lewisville, God Blessed me to be a charter member of WBC in 1984. After joining, I taught children and youth Sunday School. A few years later in 1990, I was chosen to serve as a Deacon. During my service at WBC God gave me the opportunity to lead several building projects as well as serve as the facilities manager. (0909)
Calvin Love, MBA – Treasurer
I believe God is love, Jesus is the way, the truth, and God in the flesh. My blessings are doubled when my wife Tracey and I are able to serve Him together. We are committed to sharing God’s love with those that have not heard the good news of the Gospel. My service includes leadership team in Bible Fellowship classes, as a member and past Faith Fund Chair for the Frisco Camp of Gideons International, a member and Deacon at Prestonwood Baptist Church, and volunteering at HIS Bridgebuilders in Dallas including mission trips to Romania. God’s Gift of Grace covers our sin. Through our faith in Him, we will have an eternally blessed life. (0929)
Lyndon Moorehead – Spiritual & Evangelism Coordinator
I have been married to my wife and best friend, Lori, since 1987. We have been blessed with two adult sons, Lyndon and Leland. I gave my life to Christ when I was only 9 years old at a small church revival in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. My favorite book is the Holy Bible which I have never grown tired of reading and studying so that I can discover more of God’s truths to align my life to the will of God. Two books that have had the greatest impact on my life other than the Holy Bible are, Know What You Believe by Paul E. Little, and The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel. And finally, my lifetime goal and greatest desire is to be a good and faithful steward of all that the Lord Jesus Christ has entrusted to me – whether it’s resources or relationships – so that Christ is exalted and God is glorified. Hallelujah! Amen. (1124)
